Description:white granules, crystalline powder or flakes. Odorless or with slight odor of benzoin. Stable in the air. Extremely easily soluble in water (53.0g/100ml,25℃). Soluble in ethanol (1.4g/100ml).pH of aqueous solution is 8. Its fermentation resistanc eand sterilizability are weaker than those of benzoic acid.
